Nicola

Founder & Holistic Therapist

Qualified Primary School Teacher and mother of two, life was fast paced! Add into the mix ill health, and something had to give.

An idea was born from the embers of personal pain and frustration, stoked by a journey of self-discovery and established as a business set for positive change and a life dedicated to be lived with real intention.

Connecting with nature, eating plant-based foods, listening to my intuition, meditating. These are all tools in my tool box that have helped me to grow. The discovery that self-care is paramount to good health was fundamental to my journey.

I have always wanted to help others and felt it my soul’s purpose.

What became part of my healing, then became a part of others.

Qualified reiki master teacher, crystal therapist, heartmath practitioner, massage therapist, mindfulness and meditation teacher. Facilitator of community gatherings.

A passion for living a cruelty free, sustainable life, sharing the gifts of the earth. Offering workshops to share knowledge, and bring likeminded souls together.

Clare

Qualified Counsellor, MBACP Specialising in Young People

I am a qualified Counsellor, MBACP. I have worked with adults, teenagers and children therapeutically. Predominantly children for the past 8 years. Also, I am trained in attachment and trauma related issues and use play therapy tools to engage with children if needed.

I have a Diploma in Childhood Studies and have worked in a variety of school settings. I am able to break down barriers and work with differing needs. Behaviour is just a way of communicating how we feel, I can help unpick and help gain an understanding.

I am calm, patient and thoroughly enjoy meeting new clients, seeing them progress and grow. Given the right tools and techniques, time, space and understanding, so much can be achieved.

Heather

Registered Counsellor, MBACP

Hi I’m Heather, I have 10 years’ experience as a Counsellor and am a Registered Member of the BACP on the Accredited Register, with over 3000 client hours to date. I believe passionately in the counselling process, and that no matter what you may have experienced, or are currently going through, there is an opportunity for you to make changes in your life. For me, the promotion of positive mental health and well-being is at the heart of my work. It is the quality of the ‘therapeutic relationship’ which is most important, so that you feel comfortable to talk about what matters to you.

I am here to listen, and to reflect back, to enable you to gain a better understanding of yourself and develop the confidence and inner resources to overcome barriers and effect change. I will offer you a safe, caring, confidential space to explore your thoughts and feelings, to feel heard and validated, without judgement, or discrimination and with respect. I will work alongside you, to help you to maximise your potential whatever that may be, to develop resilience and move towards empowerment, so that you may become the very best version of yourself. I work interactively which allows me the flexibility to use a variety of different approaches such as client centred, CBT, Solution Focused etc. depending on your individual needs. I have extensive experience working with adults, young people and couples. I have a particular interest in mental health, trauma, (PTSD), domestic abuse, and am able to assist with a wide variety of issues such as anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, bereavement, anger, stress, relationships and many more.

I feel I learn something different from the uniqueness of each individual, and I consider my role as a Counsellor to be often a humbling experience and a real privilege to be part of someone’s journey. I believe now, more than ever, when poor mental health due to the pandemic is at crisis level, it is vital to be able to offer some hope to those who may be experiencing such struggles in their lives. I am able to offer the service in person, online, via phone, or video call depending on your circumstances. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions, and for a free no-obligation chat to see if this is right for you and whether we feel we can work together.

Lindy

Hypnobirthing Specialist

Hi, I’m Lindy, welcome to the world of Hypnobirthing, your first step to a better birth. Having been a proud Hypnobirthing mum to my second child, inspired and passionate, I had the opportunity to change my life path and do something I love and know works!

I took The Royal College of Midwives accredited KG Hypnobirthing training and became a qualified Hypnobirthing teacher in 2013. I am also a member of the Hypnobirthing Association.

“Whenever and however you give birth, your experience will impact your emotions, your mind, your body, and your spirit for the rest of your life” – Ina May Gaskin.

I read this quote when I found out I was pregnant for the second time, and something clicked in me… I didn’t want the fear, the anxiety, and a scary out of control birth again, like my first one. This quote made me stop in my tracks; I wanted this birth to be completely different. Not only was it calm and natural, it truly was life changing and very healing.

EEG (electroencephalography) and HEG (Hemeoencephalography) technologies have, for some time, been used to treat a variety of conditions that involve cortical dysregulation that compromises mental wellbeing and effective brain processing mechanisms. EEG is used to help treat attention difficulties (ADD/ADHD), Autism (ASD), Learning disabilities, Traumatic stress disorder, Anxiety and a variety of other performance inhibiting conditions that relate to work or school environments.

Sports professional who may be concerned about Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE) may find this technique particularly invaluable when needing to assess their brain’s functional state of health before any permanent structural brain changes can be seen. Performance artists and sports professionals can be helped to better manage performance anxieties and improve fine and gross motor behaviour with EEG training.

Wendy

Mindfulness Teacher & Yin Yoga

My interest in wellness started over 20 years ago. My life was busy and often stressful as I was running my own business whilst bringing up my children. I experienced many symptoms of burnout and I decided to change my lifestyle, move to a more peaceful place and study the link between stress and illness.

Over a period of time I studied humanistic psychology, Nutritional Therapy, yoga, mindfulness and many energetic modalities (to mention a few). Everything I have learned I have implemented in my own life allowing me real experience of how to improve my quality of life. I had the opportunity to tap into my inner wisdom and find the answers to my health challenges, I feel honoured to be able to support you in your process.

I found yoga during my search for stress relief and was smitten, I equally enjoyed the meditation at the end of it. I found the perfect teacher in Ken, he was a Zen master and helped me to understand that you could not ‘empty your mind’ but merely observe your thoughts – what a revelation to me. I went on to study foundation level 1 and 2 with the British Wheel of Yoga, with Marilyn Hegginbotham, and am currently completing a 3-year course with the Comprehensive Yoga Fellowship (part of the Independent Yoga Network). I have a special interest in Restorative yoga, Yin yoga, yoga therapy and trauma informed yoga which I will be studying in more depth.

My meditation journey took me to study mindfulness with the Centre for Mindfulness at Bangor University, North Wales and go on to complete their teacher training in 2006. Mindfulness is not just about meditation, it is a way of being, and was such a valuable tool for me when I was struggling to maintain balance in my life. It also fits perfectly with yoga and the essence of ‘be here now’ when on your yoga mat. Yoga is a really mindful practice, we are in our body in the moment and bringing awareness to our movement and breath.

After a challenging 25-year marriage I was left with feelings of overwhelm and soon began to understand the long term effects on my body of a number of traumatic events. I understand why I was drawn to all these healing modalities – it was my very own life raft that I was clinging to. During my own healing, using my own techniques and some psychotherapy, I have developed a deep understanding of how the body needs to be held. Following on from immense periods of stress and challenge, talking therapies are important, but equally so are somatic (body) therapies. “The body keeps the score” is a great book explaining how physical symptoms manifest following on from emotional and traumatic life events. I believe that the pandemic has been just for so many people and it is important to help support the recovery of so many by using somatic work.

I am also learning more and more around Ayurveda (yoga’s sister science), this goes naturally with yoga and a yogic lifestyle. Ayurveda is a science in itself and a massive subject, but basically helps to develop daily routines (dinacharya) which support our health and wellbeing and nutrition to suit our individual mind and body type. I have studied nutritional therapy and enjoy using my knowledge to work with Ayurveda and pass on knowledge around foods to nourish and nurture us best.

Through sharing my wisdom around health and wellbeing we will work together to support you in your process. The result will help you to live a fuller, more informed and balanced life.

Andy

Qualified & Registered Counsellor

Originally from Margate in Kent, I moved to Bangor when I was 18 years old, to attend College. I worked in retail and logistics for almost 20 years, including a period living in Prague for 5 years and working/ travelling extensively across Central Europe which has given me some great experiences with different cultures and ways of life.

When I moved back to the UK, I decided it was time for a change and that’s when I started my own Counselling journey. As part of my training and development, I worked as a volunteer Bereavement Counsellor for 18 months in a Family Support Service based in Chester. I then started my own Counselling Service called Changing Places, working with clients in the Wellness Centre, online and on the phone.

I’m passionate about supporting and helping those in need through Counselling and firmly believe it has the power to change lives for the better. Outside of family life, my other passion is motorcycling which makes North Wales the ideal place to be with such fantastic roads and scenery.

Laurie

Hello, I’m Laurie and I bring to you energy healing, plant medicine, women’s circles and retreats.
I am a daughter of Gaia with a true, deep love for all that she offers. I am forever rediscovering myself with each turn of the wheel. I have a huge passion for the plant allies that surround us and love creating herbal medicine. My aim is to show you ways in which you can connect with nature, honouring our ancestors, the medicine women, the wise women that came before us.

At the depths of my soul, I am a wild woman with deep Celtic roots, raising wild babies, with a yearning to weave together a sisterhood. To give back to women the gifts of connection and ritual.

For the last few years my journey has been one of great adventure. Becoming a weaver of women and holding circles, as well as becoming a reiki practitioner which runs alongside my crystal healing.

My hope is to stand side by side with my sisters to rediscover who we are, to relearn our HERstory and to reclaim our power.
